Martine Nisse vive y trabaja en París. Nació en una pequeña aldea del norte de Francia, descendiente de 10 generaciones de horticultores, la primera en dejar de trabajar la tierra para convertirse en terapeuta.
Recibió su título en 1975 y comenzó a trabajar como profesora de educación especial en el Departamento de Servicios Sociales del Norte de Francia para la Protección del Niño.
Muy pronto en su carrera conoció a niños maltratados, especialmente víctimas de incesto, se dio cuenta de que no sabía nada en estos temas, se trasladó a París y participaron en la primera investigación realizada en Francia sobre el abuso y el abandono infantil.
En 1982, asistió al primer simposio sobre terapia familiar organizado en Niza, con la suerte de asistir a todos los seminarios de la AELC y de formarse en terapia familiar sistémica con Mony Elkaïm y comenzó una práctica privada como terapeuta familiar.
En 1987 co-fundó el primer centro francés de terapia familiar especializado en el tratamiento de familias incestuosas, en realidad director de la misma (Le Centre des Buttes-Chaumont Paris).
En 1990, como parte de sus esfuerzos para cambiar la legislación y las prácticas, publicaron un protocolo para el cuidado social, legal y terapéutico de menores, víctimas del incesto y sus familias, que inspiraron cambios en la ley. Desde entonces, escribió libros, artículos y participó en el escenario de una película de larga duración seleccionada y premiada en el Festival de Venecia (Shades of Doubt 1993), trabajó fortaleciendo la democracia y la sociedad civil a través de posiciones de terapeuta familiar e investigador para obtener Cambios de noticias a favor de los Derechos del Niño.
Desde 1991, ha formado regularmente profesionales en Francia, Martinica, Polinesia y en ONG, en Rusia, Rumania, Lituania, Georgia, Polonia, Camboya, Isla Mauricio, desarrollando nuevas prácticas de redes.
Es profesora de universidades francesas, estadounidenses y chinas, fue miembro del consejo directivo de IFTA (2011-2016), miembro del consejo de EFTA (2013-) y miembro del Comité de Relaciones Externas, uno de los 10 cofundadores de la Red Mundial De la Asociación de Terapia Familiar (20 de septiembre de 2016).
Está casada y crió dos yernos, le encanta viajar, leer libros, cocinar y naturly cuidar de su jardín de rosas.
Martine NISSE lives and works in Paris. She was born in a little village from northern France, descendant of 10 generations of horticulturists, the first to have stopped working the land to become a therapist. She received her degree in 1975 and began to work as a special education teacher in the Department of Social Services from North of France for Child Protection. Very soon in her career she met mistreated children, especially victim of incest, realized she knew nothing in these topics, moved to Paris and were involved in the first research done in France on child abuse and neglect. In 1982, she went to the first symposium on family therapy, organized in Nice, lucky enough to attend all of the EFTA seminars and to train in systemic family therapy with Mony Elkaïm and began a private practice as a family therapist. In 1987, she co-foundered the first French family therapy center specialized in treating incestuous families, actually director of it (Le Centre des Buttes-Chaumont Paris). In 1990, as part of their effort to change legislation and practices, they published a protocol for the social, legal and therapeutic care of minors, victims of incest and their families, which inspired changes in law. Since that time, she wrote books, articles, and participate to the scenario of a long playing movie selected and awarded at the Festival of Venice (Shades of Doubt 1993), worked strengthening democracy and civil society through positions of family therapist and researcher to obtain news changes in favor of Children’s Rights. Since 1991, she regularly trained professionals in France, Martinique, Polynesia, and for NGO, in Russia, Romania, Lituania, Georgia, Poland, Cambodia, Mauritius Island, developing new networking practices. She is lecturer for French, American and Chinese universities, was board member of IFTA (2011-2016) actually board member of EFTA (2013-) and as a member of the External Relation committee, one of 10 co-foundators of the World Network of Family Therapy Association (20 th september 2016). She is married and raised two sons-in-law, loves traveling, reading books, cooking and naturly taking care of her garden of roses.
